Tail wagging fun will take centre stage at the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Sunday 9th September for the MSPCA Dog Show & Family Fun Day, which promises to be a great day for the whole family including your four-legged friend!
Following the success of 2011’s MSPCA Dog Show, this year’s event will be bigger and better. With even more exhibitors from vets and Dog trainers to Pet stores and accessories.
The event aims to raise much needed funds for Mayo Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, so all support is greatly appreciated. Alongside the Novelty Dog Show there will be, demonstrations, advice from the experts and lots of family fun, so be early, you won’t want to miss anything! In addition to all the Exhibition stands and entertainment, this event focuses on the welfare of animals. Visitors will be given a chance to talk face-to-face with lots of animal experts on any pet related topics and learn how to best care for them. You will also have the opportunity to get advice in training, grooming and most important of all the healthcare of your pet.
Petworld will be on hand with their Pet Tagging Station at the event. All proceeds from the tagging station will be donated to the MSPCA. No one expects their dog or cat to get lost but it happens. Less than 2% of lost cats or dogs make it home and a huge amount of them end up in the pound each year. A pet tag with the owner’s name and telephone number will increase the chances of being re-united with your pet. So come along to the MSPCA Dog Show, buy a pet tag and help a worthy charity at the same time.
Event Capture Photography will be on hand with their mobile studio, so it’s a great chance to get that professional portrait of you with your best friend and to take home a great memory that will last a lifetime.
Speaking about the event, Carol and Jim from the MSPCA said “We are delighted to again be included in this exciting event and it is sure to be a great day out for all families. Again we will be on hand at the “Rescue Row” area of the show and will be featuring dogs from the MSPCA many of whom will be looking for new homes. We are also on hand to simply chat to anyone interested or simply looking for more information on how they can go about rescuing one of the many animals we take in throughout the year. Have you adopted one of our dogs in the past? Why not drop by and say hello, it’s always great to hear from the many success stories that have found their “forever” homes and how they are getting on. They are great ambassadors for our cause”.
