After an outrageously funny evening last October, Basil, Sybil and
Manuel make a welcome return for the 4th year running to The Royal
Theatre on the 5th and 6th of October after selling out for the last 3
years.
Faulty Towers the Dining Experience is a hilarious 5-star international show and is back for two nights only to serve you dinner and a feast of comic delights. So if you ever wondered what it would be like to dine at Faulty Towers, now you can find out.
Enter the snobbish world of manic Basil; his domineering wife Sybil; and their hopeless language-challenged waiter Manuel. Be one of the steady stream of bemused guest trying to make Manuel understand what it is you want. Asking for an ice bucket ends up with you being presented with a “nice bucket”. A Simple procedure like opening a bottle of wine can become a huge drama.
One-third of the show is scripted and the remaining two-thirds are improvised so no two shows are the same. They had us in absolute stitches last year so we can’t wait to see what lies in store this season.
Rude waiting staff, a rat in the kitchen, unidentified floating objects in the soup, diners with no forks, others with no spoons for their soup, usually means a meal from hell but they also add up to an unforgettable show, Faulty style service of course.
Each of the three actors is a keen impersonator of their respective characters and much of the show’s enjoyment comes from watching how well they can take off Basil, Sybil and Manuel.
Everything that can go wrong will……. In fact this can best be described as organised chaos bundled into two hours of gut – busting laughter” whilst at the same time, enjoying a light meal.
There will be a Champagne reception on arrival at 7pm and shortly afterwards Basil and Sybil will take everyone to their seats.
