TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE
23 March 2013 8:00 pm
Written by Jeffrey Hatcher and Mitch Albom
Directed and produced by Breda Cashe, and performed by Terry Byrne as Morrie Schwartz and Andy Murray as Mitch Albom.
The Royal Theatre, Castlebar proudly presents "Tuesdays with Morrie" for two nights only on Fri 22nd & Sat 23rd March 2013.
A heart-warming exploration of friendship and life – a touching, deeply emotional drama.
The performance is an autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie's appearance on a television news program and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit, turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life. It will make you cry, think, feel but above all it will make you laugh.
