 2010 has been a hectic and successful year for the band voted Best Folk Band in Irelands Music Awards. The High Kings released Memory Lane, their second album, in February of this year where it maintained it’s top 5 chart status for 10 weeks, and later achieved platinum status.
In support of this album, the band embarked on their 3rd hugely successful tour of Ireland, taking in the brand new Grand Canal Theatre. So successful was this tour that The High Kings were invited to launch Club Siucra, by taking part in a 2 week residency at the select venue, and a further residency was added to their schedule when they spent 2 weeks in Killarney’s INEC. Following on from their very successful show in The Royal Theatre last July the band are getting ready to launch Memory Lane in the USA, and have just completed a festival tour in various states, they will close out the year with a tour of Ireland due to popular demand.
